METHOD OF FORMING DIFFERENTIAL DIRECTION DIAGRAMS IN ANTENNAS OF CIRCULAR ELECTRONIC SCANNING Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H01Q21/00

Abstract RU 2680732 C1

FIELD: radio equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, in particular to antenna technology. Method of forming direction-finding DD (total and differential simultaneously) in ACES is based on placing radiators on the cylindrical surface of the antenna, combined along a cylinder generator in an equidistantly arranged line of radiators, forming the same radiation patterns, determining the size of the angular sector of the location of the emitter lines for any direction of the antenna beam, the selection within this angular sector of N active lines of emitters, bringing to them a microwave signal by means of electronic switching, and radiation of a flat field by electronic control of the introduced phase shift of microwave signals passing through the emitters by the value of: where: i is numbers of active lines of emitters; λ is the wavelength in the propagation medium of the radiated field; R is the radius of the cylinder; ϕ0 is the direction of the antenna beam in the azimuthal plane; ϕi is the angular direction of the axis of the DD of the i-th active line of emitters in the azimuthal plane; ψi is the initial phase of the microwave signal supplied to the i-th active line of emitters; as a result, a total DD of the circular electronic scanning antenna is formed. In order to ensure the coaxial alignment of the receiving DD formed in the circular sector of the electronic scanning for reception, the numbers of active lines of emitters i change in the range from 1 to N, where N is an odd number, determine the central active line of emitters inside the selected angular sector, and the microwave signal received by each of the N active lines of emitters is divided into two signals of the same magnitude and phase – the first A'i and second A"i, while for the formation of the reception of the total DD combine the microwave signals A'i from N active lines of emitters, changing their phases ψΣi by where τi is the initial phase of the microwave signal received by the i-th active line of emitters, and to form a differential DD for receiving, microwave signals A"i are combined, from N-1 active lines of emitters, where N-1 is the number of active lines of emitters without a central ruler, changing their phases τΔi for i≤(N-1)/2 by and for i>(N+1)/2, by value γ – phase ratio – is chosen in the range from 0° up to 360° arbitrarily, the amplitude of the microwave signal A"i of central radiating line of the selected group is reduced to zero, and for the formation of direction-finding patterns in other directions, all of the above operations are repeated for the new direction of receiving patterns.

EFFECT: invention can be used in sighting radar stations.
