FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, in particular, to antenna technology, and can be used in sighting radar stations. Method of forming direction-finding radiation patterns in a circular electronic scanning antenna is based on placing radiators on the cylindrical surface of the antenna, which are combined along a cylinder to form an equidistant array of emitters forming the same radiation patterns, determining the size of the angular sector of the arrangement of the emitter arrays for any direction of an antenna beam, extracting N active emitter arrays inside this angular sector, supplying a microwave signal to them by means of electronic switching, and radiation of a flat field by electronic control of the introduced phase shift of the microwave signals passing through the radiators by the value of where i are the numbers of the active arrays of radiators; λ is the wavelength in the propagation medium of the radiated field; R is the radius of the cylinder; ϕ0 is the direction of an antenna beam in the azimuthal plane; ϕi is the angular direction of the axis of a radiation pattern of the i-th active array of emitters in the azimuthal plane; ψi is the initial phase of a microwave signal supplied to the i-th active array of radiators; as a result, a total radiation pattern of the circular electron scanning antenna is formed. To achieve the possibility of the simultaneous formation of two receiving radiation patterns (RP) – total and differential – with an even number of active arrays of radiators, the numbers of active arrays of radiators are changed in the range from 1 to N, where N is an even number, and a microwave signal received by each of the N active arrays of the radiators is divided into two signals of the same magnitude and signal phase as the first and second (A'i and A"i), while for the formation of the reception of the total radiation pattern N microwave signals A'i are combined, by changing their phases ψΣi by , (1), where τi – is the initial phase of a microwave signal, adopted by the i-th active array of radiators; and to form the reception of a differential radiation pattern N microwave signals A"i are combined, changing their phases τΔi at i≤N/2 by , (2), and for i>N/2 – by , (3), and γ – phase ratio – is chosen in the range from 0 to 360° in an arbitrary way.
