FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Under local infiltration anesthesia of the lacrimal tubule area, the electrode is introduced to the mouth of the tubule and in the COAG mode (coagulation) with a partially rectified waveform power of 2.4–3.5 W (2-3 units on the instrument scale), the electrode is retrograded through tubule to the lacrimal papilla. Then, with the same parameters of the device, a barrage of the tear point is performed with a ball electrode – 4–6 surface microcoagulates are applied around the tear point.
EFFECT: method allows for effective blocking of tears with the compensation of the pathological condition in the dry eye syndrome, to reduce the trauma of healthy tissues of the orbital region, and also prevents rough scarring and cosmetic defect.
