SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drill rods for rotary drilling of bore-holes in rocks. Drill rod for rotary drilling of boreholes consists of a rod body with a triangular cross-section, described by an oval curve of constant width, a shank and a lock for fastening the tool.
EFFECT: increasing the strength of the drill rod when transmitting torque to the drilling tool and ensuring the same moment of inertia in all longitudinal sections of the rod.
