SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balance spring (1) comprising strip (3) twisted around itself in multiple coils (P₁, P_E), wherein inner coil (P₁) is integral with coupling (5) having rim (7), extending essentially in the form of a polygon. According to the invention, outer contour of each protruding portion (2, 4, 8) of the vertices of the polygon comprises two axially extending walls (2₁-2₂, 4₁-4₂, 8₁-8₂), essentially parallel to each other, as well as parallel to the line segment connecting centre (C) of coupling (5) with end (S₁, S₂, S₃) of said protruding portion (2, 4, 8).

EFFECT: balance spring, fixed by an elastic washer, is disclosed.
