FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drum type dryers and can be used in the chemical industry, the production of building materials, food products. Products to be dried are loaded into the cylindrical body 1 (not shown in the drawing). Heat chamber 2 is closed, the required temperature is created therein, after which body 1 is put into rotation and vacuum pump 5 is turned on. Due to pump 5, a suction from the body of the humid air heating chamber is provided. In the inner cavity of body 1, a constant temperature is ensured, which, in turn, ensures uniform drying and, accordingly, an increase in the quality of the dried product. Heating chamber 2 can operate both in the mode of maintaining a constant temperature and in the mode of automatic program change of temperature over time. This is determined by the nature of the product being dried. After drying, the dryer is turned off, heating chamber 2 is opened, the dried product is removed from body 1 and the drying cycle is repeated with a new portion to be dried.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the reduction of the specific energy intensity of the drying process by creating a small vacuum and improving the quality of the finished product.
