SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Monitor defibrillator comprises a monitor, a defibrillation therapy unit and a display. Monitor and display are configured to monitor a person’s electrocardiogram (ECG) and display the ECG, respectively. Touching the touch screen of the display allows the user to scroll back and forth the ECG on the display and select individual ECG segments for simultaneous viewing on the display. Touch screen is configured to use analogue resistive touch or digital resistive touch and/or projected capacitive touch technologies. Touch screen is configured for use by the user through one-touch controls and/or multi-touch controls. One window of the user interface of the display is configured to display only functions related to the monitor and/or therapy unit; one window is capable of displaying applications. Individual ECG segments are separated by intermediate segments. Display is configured to allow the user to hide intermediate segments from observation.

EFFECT: easier control of a defibrillator and prompt access to extended medical information.
