SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Method of burning gaseous or liquid fuels using a burner unit in which fuel, cold primary air and heated air are fed into the pre-chamber, the fuel and the cold primary air are supplied through at least one fuel feeder and at least one primary air feeder, while the heated combustion air is fed into the combustion chamber. Preheated air and/or cooled primary air is fed into the pre-chamber parallel to the fuel, cold primary air has a temperature of less than 150 °C, and the heated air has a temperature of more than 400 °C, wherein the fuel, primary air and/or heated air are fed into the pre-chamber at an exit velocity of 250 to 400 m/s, and the coefficient of excess air (λ) for primary air is from 0.1 to 0.6, or the coefficient of excess air (λ) in the pre-chamber is from 0.6 to 1.5.
EFFECT: invention reduces NOX emissions.
