FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the building materials industry to produce a mixing fluid. Method involves the carbonization of an aqueous suspension of magnesia raw materials at a temperature of not more than 20 °C and carbon dioxide pressure of 0.2 MPa for 30 min in an autoclave with a stirrer. As the magnesia raw material is used pre-calcined at 400 °C hydromagnesite rock.
EFFECT: invention provides a simplified and inexpensive technology for producing an aqueous solution of magnesium bicarbonate with a high bicarbonate ion concentration of at least 3½ g/l under reduced overpressure of carbon dioxide to obtain a water-resistant magnesia binder and products based on it.
