FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to dermatology and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to predict the transition of a moderately severe course to a severe course in patients with nummular microbial eczema. For this purpose, before the start of therapy, the concentration of tumor necrosis factor alpha is determined in patients' blood serum and, with its value of 60 pg/ml and higher, the probability of the transition of a moderately severe course of nummular microbial eczema to a severe course is predicted.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of diagnosing a disease by predicting the transition of a moderately severe nummular microbial eczema to a severe one.
