FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method and exhaust control system are proposed for cleaning the exhaust gas flow, that are formed as a result of combustion in internal combustion engine and contain nitrogen oxides NOx. Method comprises evaluating phase of at least one future operating condition for an exhaust gas cleaning system, which is based on the representation of a road section in front of a vehicle. First additive is fed into the exhaust stream for the first time, and the first additive is used for at least the first reduction of the first amount of nitrogen oxides NOx_1 in the exhaust stream in the first catalytic reduction device. Second feed of the second additive to the exhaust gas stream is performed, while the second additive is used for the second reduction of the second amount of nitrogen oxides NOx_2 in the exhaust stream in the second catalytic reduction device located downstream of the first catalytic reduction device.
EFFECT: in accordance with the present invention, control of the first supply of the additive is performed on the basis of the estimated, at least one future operating condition such that the first catalytic reduction device is under the influence of substoichiometric conditions for some time with respect to the first additive and the first quantity of nitrogen oxides NOx_1.
