This method also includes second addition (230) of the second additive to exhaust gas stream (303), which is used for second exposure (240) to the second amount of NOx_2 nitrogen oxides which reaches second device (332) configured to act on the second amount of NOx_2 nitrogen oxides. According to the present invention, at least one of first administration (210) and second administration (230) is controlled based on the full capacity of first device (331) to produce first exposure (220), the ability of second device (332) to produce second exposure (240) in such a way that the required total exposure to NOx in exhaust gas flow (303) through exhaust gas processing system (350).

EFFECT: method and exhaust gas processing system (350) are provided for treating exhaust gas stream (303) that are formed as a result of combustion in internal combustion engine (301) and contain nitrogen oxides NOx.
