FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: tread of the heavy vehicle tire (10) has a width W, moreover, the specified tread has two main grooves (2, 3) having a common circumferential orientation and bounding the central zone (C) in width from 15 to 25 % of the total width W of the tread. Main grooves have a depth P, which determines the tread thickness, and the side zones (L1, L2) on one side and on the other side of the central zone (C). Each of these side zones is divided into a plurality of oblong relief elements (4) having long sides (41, 42) and short sides (43, 44). These elongated elements (4) are limited by inclined second grooves (5) having a slope at an average angle (A) of between 35 and 55°, in relation to the circumferential direction. These inclined second grooves (5) have a depth P5 of 30 to 60 % of the depth P. Each elongated relief element (4) of the lateral zones (L1, L2) contains an inclined cut (6) extending parallel to the inclined grooves (4), dividing the specified element into two elongated halves of the element, and each slanting notch (6) is formed by a notch (61) continued by the internal channel (62). Specified internal channel (62) is intended to form a new groove after partial tread wear no later than before the complete disappearance of the inclined second grooves (5).
EFFECT: technical result is an improvement in the characteristics of the noise emitted during tire rolling, while maintaining a high level of grip characteristics during rain.
