FIELD: ceramics.
SUBSTANCE: using to control the physical and technical parameters of ceramic products. Essence of invention is that to perform the scanning an ultrasonic wave product, recording the reflected signals, measuring the time of their propagation to the product, measuring the geometric dimensions of the reference product with known density and control products. Each product is placed in a plastic bag with a film thickness of less than 0.1 of the ultrasonic wavelength of the sensor receiver, vacuum bags and sealed. Measure the time of passage of the ultrasonic signal from the ultrasonic sensor to the upper and lower surfaces of the product in each coordinate and from the found time values and current coordinates, determine the obtained density values of control product.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of the ceramic products control, where on their surface when placing inside an immersion liquid, a suspension is formed of particles of material that impede the propagation of ultrasonic waves, as well as products having a rounded profile.
