SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hardeners for epoxy resins and their use in curable epoxy resins. Application of methylene bis-aniline as a curing agent for epoxy resins is proposed, where the compound methylene bis-aniline has the formula (I), where a) R1, R2, R3, R4, R1', R2', R3' and R4' independently selected from hydrogen; C1-C6-alkoxy, optionally in combination with at least two of R1, R2, R3, R4, R1', R2', R3' and R4', selectable from C1-6 alkyl, where the alkyl group is linear or branched and optionally substituted; halogen, amide, ester or fluoroalkyl, b) at least one of R1, R2, R3, R4, R1', R2', R3' and R4' is C1-C6-alkoxy-group, c) the methylene bis-aniline compound is asymmetric and contains only an alkoxy group in one ring or only one alkoxy group in each aniline ring or the methylene bis-aniline compound is symmetric and contains two substituents, one of which is an alkoxy group in each aniline ring, where the methylene bis-aniline compound is selected from structures (II), d) the methylene bis aniline compound contains at least one alkoxy substituent and is liquid at 20 °C and (e) the methylene bis-aniline compound is not 4,4'-methylene-bis(2-methoxyaniline). Epoxy resin containing said methylene bis-aniline compound as a curing agent is also provided, along with the application of a composition of epoxy resin and the indicated methylene bis-aniline compound in the form of a matrix of prepreg containing reinforcement, and a method for producing the corresponding composite, as well as a corresponding product.

EFFECT: methylene bis-anilines proposed as a curing agent are readily available, and their composition with epoxy resins maintains a stable viscosity for a long time, which improves its processability.
