FIELD: polymer chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a curable polymer composition for use in composite materials, including: (A) a cycloaliphatic epoxy resin containing two or more epoxy groups; and (B) a trifunctional benzoxazine compound, represented by the following structure (I), in which R1, R2 and R3 independently selected from the alkyl, cycloalkyl, and aryl groups, wherein the cycloalkyl and aryl groups are not necessarily substituted and where one or more substituents may be present in each cycloalkyl and aryl group and R4 is selected from the hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, and alkenyl groups, and additionally (D) a bifunctional benzoxazine compound, wherein the benzoxazine compounds (B) and (D) are more than 50% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. The invention also relates to a composite material, a prepreg, and a cured composite part.
EFFECT: resulting composites have high HW-OHC strength.
