SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, specifically to the preparation of 2-[(allyloxy)methyl]-6-methyl-1,4-dioxane, which consists in carrying out the reaction of 4-[-((allyloxy)]methyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane in benzene as a solvent with sulfuric acid at 70 °C for 6 hours in the following ratio of components, wt. %: benzene 88; 4-[(allyoxy)]methyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane 10; sulfuric acid 2.
EFFECT: new method of obtaining 2-[(allyloxy)methyl]-6-methyl-1,4-dioxane with a high yield has been developed, which can be used in agriculture as a herbicide.
