SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hybrid vehicles. Hybrid vehicle contains an internal combustion engine, a motor-generator, an electrical energy storage device and a control device that sets the drive charge level control mode to charge use mode or recharge mode. Control device expands the allowable range of fluctuations of the charge level of the electric power storage in the recharging mode when the control device performs the first switching control, as compared to the situation when the control device does not control this. First switching control is understood to be control, in which the control device automatically switches between charge use and recharging modes, partly based on the predicted load on the planned route of the hybrid vehicle.

EFFECT: reduction of fuel efficiency is limited.
