FIELD: vehicle equipment and accessories.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for adjusting receiver equalizer settings in a vehicle. Media identification information is periodically received from the vehicle. In response to receiving media identification information, a first server that associates the media identification information with the media presentation identifier is queried to determine the media presentation identifier. Second server that associates the media presentation identifier with the base sound profile is queried to identify the base sound profile. Base sound profile is modified based on the user's preference for generating the sound profile of the receiver, wherein the sound profile of the receiver determines receiver equaliser settings. Sound profile of the receiver is sent to the vehicle to adjust the receiver equaliser settings. Vehicle sound systems are also disclosed.
EFFECT: adjustment of equaliser settings based on sound profile.
