SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building. In the method, the square baler contains a movable oscillating in a bale chamber piston (16) and at least one auxiliary unit (2), which are driven via common drive train (21). Drive train (21) contains a torque input terminal, power output branch (30) and at least one reduction gear (37) for driving pressing piston (16). Auxiliary device (2) and reduction gear (37) are connected in parallel to each other to power output branch (30).
EFFECT: drive train of the baler has a low weight and requires little space for assembly and installation.
