FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Method for engine consists in fact that for multiple cycles, periodic wavy output signal of fuel supply controller is monitored during fuel supply control in closed circuit. Exhaust gas pressure is evaluated by characteristics of wave-like signal, including frequency, and/or standard deviation, and/or amplitude of periodical wave-like output signal with maintenance of required air-fuel ratio of engine at stoichiometric level. At least one parameter of engine operation is corrected depending on result of exhaust gas pressure estimation. Disclosed are versions of method for engine and engine system.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of validity of results of assessment of exhaust gas pressure.
