FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to optical devices containing a waveguide for reading quantum emitters. Optical device contains a planar waveguide and a quantum emitter. Planar waveguide comprises a longitudinally extending guide region with a first side and a second side. First nanostructure is located on the first side of the guide region. Second nanostructure is located on the second side of the guide region. Planar waveguide includes a longitudinal region, where the first nanostructure and the second nanostructure are located essentially symmetrically in a glide plane relative to the guide region of the planar waveguide. Quantum is associated with the first longitudinal region of the planar waveguide. Quantum emitter is embedded in the guide region of the planar waveguide so that the emitter is a single photon emitter and emits photons in a mode with circular polarization. Longitudinal region of the planar waveguide supports modes when the electric fields are circularly polarized in the plane of the planar waveguide in the position of the quantum emitter. Thus, photons from the single photon emitter are effectively introduced into the planar waveguide.
EFFECT: technical result consists in producing the waveguide, which ensures efficient reading on a crystal of quantum emitters having dipole moments of circularly polarized transitions.
