FIELD: calculating; counting.
SUBSTANCE: using: to measure and record the interaction forces between wheel and rail. Summary of the invention is that the device for collecting information about the results of the interaction between the wheel and the rail contains a railway wheel pair with a curved S-shaped disk, strain gauges included in half-bridge circuits and placed on two concentric circles of 398.2 mm and 586.6 mm on the inner side of the wheel disk at the intersection with the axles that pass through their centre and shifted relative to each other at angle of 22.5°, data acquisition and wireless data transmission equipment connected via a router with a signal receiving module and an on-board computer using the IEEE 802.11g "Wi-Fi" protocol. Method of evaluating the results of the interaction between the wheel and the rail is to consider the forces directly in contact with the rail, that is reduced to the preliminary formation of a system of 64 linearly dependent "deformation / force" equations by artificially applying vertical, lateral and longitudinal forces to the contact spot, building a “pseudoinverse” matrix C and the subsequent solution of the system of linear equations B = C × E, where E - the deformations obtained from the results of the experiment, and B - the desired values of forces.
EFFECT: technical result: improved measurement accuracy.
