FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ternary propylene-ethylene-diene copolymers for tire tread compositions. Tread protector composition contains components, wt. %: 5–75 diene elastomer; 0–40 process oil; 20–80 of filler; vulcanising reagent; and 5–30 of a propylene-ethylene-diene terpolymer containing 2–40 wt % formed from ethylene and / or C4-C20-α-olefins of links, 0.5–10 wt. % of links derived from diene and having fusion heat determined by DSC equal to approximately 0 J/g.
EFFECT: invention improves the ratio between the traction force of the tire with the wet road surface and tire rolling resistance.
