SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the calibration tool downhole tool and can be used to calibrate the generator of clock pulses. In particular, a device is proposed for calibrating a downhole clock pulse generator, comprising: downhole clock pulse generator; receiving element for receiving a derived clock signal in the case where a downhole clock pulse generator is located in the well; and measurement circuit for measuring the frequency of the derived clock signal in units of uncorrected borehole clock frequency associated with the borehole clock generator, to provide the equivalent of the measured frequency. Derived clock signal is obtained from the surface clock signal associated with the surface clock pulse generator, while the frequency of the derived clock signal is less than one fifth of the frequency of the surface clock signal.
EFFECT: technical result is the expansion of the arsenal of technical tools for calibrating downhole tools at the work site.
