FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropylethyl carbonate of formula I, characterized in that 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropanol-1 is first treated with ethyl titanate at a molar ratio of 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropanol-1:ethyl titanate (1.5–2.0):1.0, and then – diphenyl carbonate at a molar ratio of 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropanol-1:diphenyl carbonate 1.0:(1.6–1.7) with subsequent fractional distillation of 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropylethyl carbonate at atmospheric pressure. (I).
EFFECT: simple method allows the use of commercially available reagents.
