SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing bis(2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl)carbonate using sequential treatment of a mixture of 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropanol-1 and benzene with titanium (IV) alkoxide and diphenyl carbonate followed by distillation of bis(2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl)carbonate at atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: obtaining bis(2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl)carbonate in a simple and effective way using minimal amounts of commercially available and non-toxic reagents.
