FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to load-measuring equipment and is intended for remote measurement of dynamic pressure in a layer of coarse-grained material, for example, in the ballast of a railway track, during the passage of high-speed train, especially in conditions of high axial loads on railway tracks. Device for measuring pressure in a layer of crushed stone ballast contains a housing with an elastic element in the form of a membrane, a part of the surface of which is made concave, temperature compensators placed inside the housing and a strain gauge bridge circuit, the opposite measuring shoulders of which include strain gauges whose transverse axes are located on the inner surface of the membrane in the concentric zone of its maximum sensitivity to external deformation, caused by the pressure of crushed stone ballast and located in the range from 0.64 to 0.79D, where D is the diameter of the membrane.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and increasing the sensitivity of measuring the pressure in the layer of crushed stone ballast.
