FIELD: measurement; mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement tools in a well. In particular, a device is proposed for performing spatially directed measurements of a formation radially 360° around the wellbore for use in directional drilling, containing: casing characterized by dimensions for placement in the wellbore, as well as the presence of a longitudinal axis of rotation; unshielded neutron source located inside the enclosure; and neutron-based unshielded detector, said unshielded neutron-based detector, is located offset from and asymmetrically along the longitudinal axis of rotation of the housing relative to the neutron source. Device is made with the ability to rotate in such a way that during rotation, when it passes into the well, spatially directed formation measurements radially 360° around the wellbore is obtained when the device is 360° rotated relative to the longitudinal axis of rotation in the wellbore.
EFFECT: invention can be used to provide neutron measurements in the radial direction.
