FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: use: for reservoir assessment. Invention consists in that the tool includes a detector including a monolithic scintillation element comprising a coherent assembly of joined fibres, wherein the fibres are made of an optically transparent scintillation substance. Fibres are at least I) gamma ray responsive; and II) neutron responsive. Coherent assembly of fibres may be a continuous mass or may be heat-joined. Fibres are solid. Scintillation substance contains at least I) organic crystalline scintillation materials, II) amorphous glass, and III) nanostructured glass ceramics. Coherent fibre assembly may be asymmetric. Coherent fibre assembly may be surrounded by an additional scintillation substance having different scintillation characteristics than the main scintillation substance. Scintillation element may be sensitive to the azimuth of the wellbore.
EFFECT: higher sensitivity of the reservoir assessment tool.
