SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adjustment of front seat of vehicle based on anthropometric characteristics of passenger of rear seat. System for detecting objects outside the driver's visibility range for a vehicle comprises an arrangement of optical sensors for side viewing of a system for detecting objects outside the driver's visibility zone and at least one controller configured to move the driver seat based on the expected rear passenger side of the driver side. Method for automatic adjustment of front seat of vehicle includes receiving data indicating dimensions of expected rear passenger of driver side, and movement by front seat controller to target position, which is based on dimensions and data on front seat passenger.
EFFECT: convenient and safe seating position for passengers or a vehicle driver, in which passengers or a driver can have a wide range of sizes and types of constitution.
