SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and method of limiting access to a protected compartment of a vehicle. Vehicle access system comprises controller, made with possibility, in response to reception of unlock signal, cause unlocking of closing device of separation for specified time and after specified time to cause blocking of closing device of compartment and in response to reception of unlocking signal to cause unlocking of closing device of compartment. Method of controlling access to a vehicle compartment comprises steps of receiving an unlock signal and a vehicle operation signal, unlocking the closing device for separation for a given time in response to the unlock signal and the operation signal of the vehicle and locking the closing device after a predetermined time and unlocking the closing means in response to reception of the unlocking signal for a given time.
EFFECT: higher safety of protected compartment of vehicle.
