SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology and preventive medicine, and discloses a method for determining predisposition to development of complications of cardiovascular diseases in extreme climatic changes. Method is characterized by that blood is collected in patients, level of free-radical oxidation of malonic dialdehyde (MDA) in blood plasma is determined, activity of antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) in erythrocytes is determined, MDA / SOD ratio is calculated and if the value of this ratio is increased by more than 20 % compared to the initial value during extreme weather conditions, the risk of cardiovascular complications is considered to be high. Method provides higher prediction accuracy and reduced risk of cardiovascular complications.

EFFECT: invention can be used to prevent a risk of developing complications of cardiovascular diseases in the period of "heat waves".
