SUBSTANCE: invention refers to diagnostics, namely to a method for assessing the effectiveness of a drug therapy for ischemic disease. Method for evaluating the effectiveness of a drug therapy of ischemic heart disease by blood examination, involving determining the activity of Cu, Zn-superoxide dismutase (Cu, Zn-SOD), units/g of hemoglobin and content of Cu, Zn-SOD, ng/g of hemoglobin in blood erythrocytes of patients with ischemic heart disease, before and after therapy, the obtained data are used to calculate the coefficient of modifying Cu, Zn-SOD using formula: CPMSOD = activity of Cu, Zn-SOD/content of Cu, Zn-SOD, and if the initial values of CPMSOD of 1.5 and higher indicate effectiveness of the therapy.

EFFECT: method described above enables to accurately assess the effectiveness of the therapy.
