FIELD: lymphology; cardiovascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the likelihood of developing a complicated course of the disease in patients with secondary lymphedema of the lower extremities. Determination is carried out in the peripheral venous blood of patients with secondary lymphedema of the lower extremities using the competitive enzyme immunoassay test for catalase and superoxide dismutase. The subsequent calculation of the probability of developing a complicated course of lymphedema is carried out using the formula Р = 1/(1 + е-Z), where P is the probability of developing a complicated course of secondary lymphedema of the lower extremities within 5 years, e is the base of the natural logarithm (Euler’s number), and z is the indicator calculated as follows: Z = -119.8 + 155.64 * X1 + 36.67 * X2, X1 is the catalase level, X2 is the superoxide dismutase level.
EFFECT: method provides the ability to predict the complicated course of secondary lymphedema of the lower extremities by determining the level of catalase and superoxide dismutase in the blood using a competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent test.
