FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology, and can be used in restoring the Achilles tendon during its long-term rupture. Posterolateral approach to the Achilles tendon is performed. Broken tendon ends are separated. Cicatricial tissue is excised. From the same access using an open tendon extractor tendons of the long fibular muscle are sampled on a distal base. Eighthly it is delivered through thickness of proximal and distal ends of Achilles tendon, covering the defect area. Tendon is tightened and fixed by single sutures to the distal and proximal ends of the Achilles tendon.
EFFECT: method provides reducing traumatism and diastasis repair ensured by plasty of the Achilles tendon defect by an autograft of the tendon of the fibular muscle.
