FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely traumatology and orthopedics, and may be used for operative treatment of long-standing injury of the Achilles tendon. The distal and proximal ends of the injured tendon are mobilised, and at the proximal end of the tendon in the frontal plane 1.2 to 2 cm horizontal incisions are made from the outside and from the inside. An autologous graft is taken from the tendon of the large peroneal muscle from the posterolateral access by means of a tendon extractor. It is secured by suturing in the distal and proximal Achilles tendon. The wound is sutured in layers. The foot is brought into the equinus position followed by securing by a plaster bandage or a fixator.
EFFECT: method ensures adaptation of the edges of the injured tendon and sliding thereof in soft tissues after suturing the wound by inserting the pedicles of the graft into the thickness of the proximal injured tendon.
