SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended for use in eliminating the rotation of Rayner's toroidal extra single-piece intraocular lens (IOL). In a patient who underwent surgery for cataract – phacoemulsification with implantation of the posterior chamber IOL and implantation of the toric IOL Rayner, which in the postoperative period was rotated, repeated intervention is performed to eliminate the rotation. After the horizontal meridian and steep corneal meridian are marked, the anesthetic and viscoelastic are introduced into the anterior chamber, the position of the toric component of the lens is visualized relative to the steep meridian of the cornea. IOL is rotated in the required direction to compensate for abrupt corneal meridian. An upper haptic element of the IOL is fixed through the pre-cornea of the iris with a suture.

EFFECT: method enables providing a stable position of the IOL in a sulcuse furrow at a specified angle for maximum correction of postoperative astigmatism with minimal traumatism.
