FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method for detecting genetic factors (genes) determining cell-telomere DNA-structure functioning, which in turn determines eukaryot cell life span. Preliminary stage is carried out for identification of genetic markers based on Arabidopsis thaliana plant DNA, for which DNA of Arabidopsis thaliana plant is extracted, restriction analysis of telomere length together with Southern blot analysis is performed. Performing bio-information analysis of obtained results of telomere length in plants of inbred lines of Arabidopsis thaliana. Loci of quantitative traits are measured, genes involved in telomeres length change in plants are determined, bio-information search of homologous genes is carried out in humans. Analysis of the effect of the analyzed genes on the telomere-length on the basis of plant mutants is carried out, the genes involved in the telomere length regulation (genetic markers) are identified, genetic markers are identified in other organisms besides A. thaliana plants by DNA extraction from the body tissue sample for which it is required to perform search of genetic markers. PCR analysis is carried out for presence of genetic markers, electrophoretic analysis of the reaction mixture obtained in PCR-analysis is performed to enable detection or non-detection of desired DNA fragments corresponding to nucleotide sequences of desired genetic markers. Invention can be used in preclinical studies and in medical practice as a method for identifying genes involved in telomere functioning regulation.
EFFECT: possibility of improving the quality of human life by enabling the possibility of predicting the development of diseases associated with the aging process.
