SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to differential diagnosis of acute appendicitis with clinical symptomatology imitating right renal colic. What is described is a diagnostic technique for acute appendicitis with clinical symptoms imitating right renal colic, consisting in the fact that a patient with suspected acute appendicitis with clinical symptomatology imitating right renal colic, or with suspicion of right-sided renal colic with clinical symptoms simulating acute appendicitis, simultaneously determining concentration of lactoferrin in fecal and urine samples, and with concentration of fecal lactoferrin higher than 7,500 ng/g, and concentrations of urine lactoferrin from 0 to 60 ng/ml diagnose acute appendicitis.

EFFECT: simplification and higher accuracy of differential diagnosis of acute appendicitis and acute renal pathology.
