DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE OF CHRONIC ABDOMINAL SYNDROME WITH LOCALIZATION IN RIGHT ILIAC REGION AND ACUTE APPENDICITIS IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely pediatric surgery. Excess hyperthermia, blood leukocyte count, presence of neutrophilic leukocyte shift, patient's age in years, the effect of using spasmolysants is assessed, the presence of an intercurrent pathology is detected, concentration of C-reactive protein in the blood serum, patient's sex, intensity of the pain syndrome by a visual-analogue scale of pain intensity assessment, pain migration are determined. That is followed by determining individual indications for surgical management of chronic abdominal syndrome with localization in right iliac region in children (d) by original formula. If values of d from 0 to 1.93 patients can be attributed to the group with chronic abdominal syndrome with localization in right iliac region. If d ranges from 0 to - 0.94, acute appendicitis can be diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables determining individual indications for surgical management of chronic abdominal syndrome with localization in the right iliac region in children, reducing the frequency of hospitalizations, and reducing pain syndrome due to well-timed adequate surgical management.
