METHOD OF DETERMINING LOCATION OF SUBSCRIBER TERMINAL BY MEANS OF AT LEAST TWO SATELLITE CONVERTERS ON LOW ORIENTAL ORBIT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01S5/00

Abstract RU 2684740 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, specifically to methods for determining location of a radio-frequency source (RFS), and can be used in navigation, direction-finding, location-based means for determining location of user terminal (UT) by radio signals received from Q ≥ 2 satellites-retransmitters in low-earth orbit. Method is based on arranging a radioelectronic monitoring system (RMS) and M≥2 radiating reference stations (RRS) at positions with known coordinates, setting radio monitoring area (SRMA), radiation of RMS and m-m, where m = 1…M, SRMA test radio signals at time tn, where n = 1…N, N≥1, receiving in RRS of said test radio signals after their relay q-mi, where q = 1…Q, relay satellites, determination of canonical parameters (CP) of relay satellites at time tn, selection of sphere as sphere surface with radius calculated based on SRMA average latitude, and subsequent calculation of coordinates AT xA, yA, zA.

EFFECT: achieved by technical result of invention is higher accuracy of determining coordinates of AT due to more accurate determination of time delays and frequency shifts of system signals, performing excessive measurements with simultaneous elimination of the need for mismatch of test signals with the AT.
