FIELD: space industry.
SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to space industry, namely to the technique of performing trajectory measurements and determining the parameters of the orbit of a spacecraft (SC), and can be used on ground and on-board spacecraft flight control systems to accurately determine the current parameters of SC motion. The method for determining the velocity vectors of the main spacecraft (MSC)and adjacent spacecraft (ASC) includes the radiation at time t0 of the test radio signal of the radiating reference station (RRS) with the value of the nominal frequency fn, measurement in the receiving radio-technical station (RRTS) of the nominal frequencies of the test radio signal of RRSand after its retransmission by MSC and ASC respectively, measurement for each n-th Earth station (ES) with known coordinates xIn, yIn, zIn, where n=1…N is the number 3C, N≥4, values of nominal frequencies and of received radio signals after their retransmission by MSC and ASC based on the measured frequency shifts of the radio signals of the system.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of determining the orthogonal components of the velocity vectors of the MSC and ASC.
