FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used to locate radio-frequency radiation sources when designing satellite communication system user terminal locating subsystem. To do so, method is based on time delays and frequency shifts measurement between transmitted and received system test signals. According to measurement results using network-to-network connection node known coordinates, relay satellites coordinates and motion parameters, user terminal velocity vector module azimuth αUT and its height hUT, relative to Earth's surface and predetermined frequency shifts f g1, f g2 of relay satellites operating frequencies to calculating user terminal coordinates.
EFFECT: technical result is increased accuracy of user terminal coordinates determining in wide range of its movement speeds due to more accurate system signals frequency shifts determination.
