FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to determine the coordinates of a spacecraft (SC) on the ground and onboard flight control systems of the SC. To achieve the effect, in the receiving radio station (RTS), the values of time delays between the transmitted test radio signal and its received implementations are measured after retransmission of the MSC and ASC; in the PRTS, the time delays between the received radio signals are measured after their retransmission by the MSC and ASC, respectively; the coordinates of the MSC and ASC are calculated based on the specified time delays of the radio signals of the system. The choice of earth stations (ES) and the installation of a radiating reference station (RRS) is carried out so that the mutual distances between the ES, as well as the distances between the ES and the RRS, are maximum.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of determining the coordinates of the main spacecraft (MSC) and the adjacent spacecraft (ASC).
