SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, namely to a method for preparing a liquid extract of thyme. Method of extracting a liquid extract of milled grass of thyme by extraction of raw materials with 30 % ethyl alcohol in mixture with 10 % glycerine of weight of raw material, at raw material:extractant ratio of 1:1, in which herb of thyme is milled by rolling by the principle of simultaneous crushing and abrasion to obtain particles with size not exceeding 0.2 mm, vacuum-filtration extraction method is used for extraction without preliminary soaking of raw materials; at that, sum of flavonoids in end product is not less than 0.1 % in terms of luteolin.

EFFECT: method described above enables to accelerate the extraction process and obtain an extract with a content of flavonoids of not less than 0,1 % in terms of luteolin.
