FIELD: chemical; pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the yarrow herb flavonoids assay method. The following is proposed: yarrow herb flavonoids assay method by extraction of raw materials with organic solvents followed by sample preparation and determination of optical density by differential spectrophotometry, while the extraction of raw materials is carried out with ethyl alcohol at a concentration of 50% in the ratio raw material:extractant — 1:30, extraction time, extraction in a boiling water bath for 45 minutes, degree of grinding of raw materials of 2 mm, complexation reaction with aluminum chloride for 30 minutes; yarrow herb flavonoids assay method is carried out at a wavelength of 400 nm in terms of cynaroside; the content of the sum of flavonoids X as a percentage in terms of cynaroside is calculated using the following formula
where D is the optical density of the test solution; Do is the optical density of the solution of the State Standard Sample of cynaroside; m is mass of raw materials, g; mo is mass of the State Standard Sample of cynaroside, g; W is weight loss during drying, %; in the absence of a standard sample of cynaroside, it is advisable to use the theoretical value of the specific absorption index at 400 nm - 340
where D is the optical density of the test solution; m is mass of raw materials, g; 340 is specific absorption rate (E) State standard sample of cynaroside at 400 nm; W is weight loss during drying, %.
EFFECT: above method is effective for performing yarrow herb flavonoids assay in terms of cynaroside.
