FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to differential mechanisms located in transfer boxes of vehicles. Transfer box with variable asymmetry comprises transfer case housing (1), input shaft (2) rigidly connected with symmetrical differential (3), planetary mechanism (8). Symmetrical differential (3) includes differential housing with satellites (4), rear shaft (5) gear, front shaft (6) gear, friction clutch (7). In planetary gear (8) crown gear (9) is rigidly connected with front shaft (6) gear, carrier with satellites (11) is rigidly connected with rear shaft (5) gear, sun gear (10) is rigidly connected with friction brake (12). Shaft of output front shaft (13) is kinematically connected to crown gear (9) via intermediate gear (14). Mechanism additionally contains friction clutch (7) and friction brake (12).
EFFECT: higher power at front drive axle, as well as higher torque at any driving axle.
