FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: metal assembly (1) is intended for winding in coil for use in direct current magnets. Metal assembly comprises insulated superconducting wire (2) comprising superconducting conductor (4) from material with superconducting properties in preset temperature mode, embedded in metal matrix (6), and electrically insulating layer (7) made as coating on superconducting wire. Metal assembly further comprises heat-conducting element (3) of heat-conducting material, made in form of layer, at least partially surrounding insulated superconducting wire, so that metal assembly, being coiled, has isotropic or mainly isotropic heat-conducting properties.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of dimensions due to improved cooling.
