FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodworking industry, in particular, to circular sawing machines. Cutting unit of round-saw machine comprises saw shaft with bearings, circular saw, support and pressure flanges, saw drive from linear electric motor. Support flange is made in the form of a pack of coils of tape electric steel and a ring from current-conducting non-magnetic material. Ring is built in the end external part of the package coaxially with the axis of the saw shaft. Support flange is a linear motor rotor.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of cutting unit drive.
